Good news today received the code via email and it was a different one than I had in the manual. Managed to get 5minutes to go try it and all sorted finally working again

Glad to hear it is all good. Make sure to find out why your fob does not work. Or if you find someone with a nanocom you can always have them turn off the alarm / immobiliser.

I get a bit of a ribbing for asking all new members , plus peeps I meet on the street who drive D2's if they have got and tried the EKA code................:D:D...

Cheers

As @neilly has said, "Make sure to find out why your fob doesn't work". The first place to look is at the earth connection for the receiver unit; you'll find that just in front of the rear sunroof. It's well known to get a bit dirty with corrosion.
Regardng that security number you found in your manual, don't throw it away just yet, it might be the security code for the radio!

I'm having great similar problem with my disco how ever when I use my fob central locking works light goes off on dash no start nothing, I've tried entering key code via door just to see if that works and still nothing light on dash off but nothing how ever I don't get any alarm noise as it don't work on my disco hasn't for a while with no problem till now any advice??

So your problem is completely different not similar cos your's has nothing to do with the immobiliser, you have a problem with the starter circuit, most common is the small lucar connector on the solenoid to be loosen, then can be solenoid, relay, fuse or wiring issue opn that path

Ok cheers i checked the spaded wire on the starter cleaned it put it back on I'll have to go back and look at all the fuses see if I missed something

You dont have to check all the fuses just the relevant one: fusible link FL12 engine bay and relay R2 and all good but still no crank check for voltage on the solenoid wire while somebody turns ignition to crank or by bridging the relay's perpendicular cavities in the fusebox
