im stuck in a greenlane near hadlow, kent. can anybody help ?

there are loads of peeps in Kent.

Tried to rally all the local troops I have numbers for but they have all buggered off to Woodlands pay & play or they are working.

I can't help as the 90's still in bits and the Freebie wouldn't make it down the lane.

Manged to get it out with a tirfor i borrowed, and a helping hand from a suzuki belonging to the fella who lived at the end of the lane.

I'll but some piccys up later.

Heres a few pics.

Couldnt have done it without the help of a fella called steve who lives at the Forge Farm end. He came down with his SJ 410, really nice bloke he was. And he said he has got no problem with people using the lane at all, although last week some people came down and did donuts in a farmers field just off the lane and dropped a load of litter, which is really irresponsible.

Basically used a tirfor hand winch that I borrowed from my uncles work to winch it out of the bit it had grounded out on.

Had a few issues though, mainly it had a flat battery which just wouldnt jump start off steves SJ, he even drove back up to his yard and got a huge truck battery that had just come off charge and it still wouldnt turn over at more than a snails pace, and my jump leads are a pretty good set. I was thinking it might be the starter motor playing up but its all fine now, so Im not sure.

So once we had winched it out of the bog and onto harder ground (those tirfors really are great bits of kit arnt they), we attached the 90 onto steves SJ and he gave me a tug and it bump started.

All in all went ok, Im really glad we didnt mess about trying to get it out last night. Much better to work when its light! Steve said a few people have got stuck in that exact hole now, including one defender that ended up sitting there for 4 days!!!

This is before we started winching. You can see how it is bottomed out on the axles, and the towbar had dug in as well. The two passenger side wheels were spinning aimlessly, hence why one side is a lot muddier than the other side!Round the drivers side of the vehicle it was so boggy i sank up to my knees nearly.




Here is my cousin doin all the hard work! It wasnt ideal that the tree was off to one side, but it managed ok cos the ruts were almost lined up.




Bruised and battered but still happy!




Finally out. The first time we went through I stayed to the right of the photo, then we turned round and came back and I went through to the side slightly.

Only just read this, I've been away for a week.

Glad you got out OK, I haven't tried that lane yet but I hear that guy at the end of the lane gets pretty busy pulling peeps out.

Yeh its a great lane theres some mental side slopes so steep!

yeh it was dark and i just gunned it, bit silly realy.

yer i'd spotted those and wondered if he'd managed to knock over a pylon - you dont see thems just laying around for no reason

thems is bloody expensive things, not the sorta thing you'd see covered in LR tyre marks

unless you can drive up a pylon

A: Were you playin frisby in a really low budget TV add?

B: How expensive are they & did you leave them there?
