Did you try it in the end then?
Perfect , linseed oil it is then, thanks BB.
Ive done a quick google and there isn't really anything bad being said about it.
Boiled and thinned to aid drying else you'll end up with everything stuck to it.
Salt/road grime/bicycles.....
There is double boiled 2.5L for about £18 on the bay.........is double boiled any quicker drying or what?
Then there is 5L for 20 notes.

I find with Waxoyl there is always run off..............will it be a problem with this stuff..............like when I do door cavities?

Maybe you could boil it yourself in an old pan if you wanted, I've heated paint in the same way before to make it more usable to paint a van with a roller.
Used chain oil is even better! You should try snake oil
Someone on here swears by Linseed oil have a search.Instead of faffing around with waxoyl, any cheap oil recommendations?
I've tried catching used chain oil. Its a dodgy business and typing is now slower than what it was.Used chain oil is even better!
On a side note, I bought some 4 stroke mower oil today ( probably 5/30 ), £1 for 1L. Tetrosyl branded, reduced at B&M cheapskate stores.
So how dya go about getting this into the chassis if you don't have a compressor?
Should have mentioned it is a two person job. The missus/mother in law would be ideal as a catcher.I've tried catching used chain oil. Its a dodgy business and typing is now slower than what it was.
