Went out in the rangie today to test and tighten up new pads on the rear.
Warmed up ok with the needle on the middle.
Turned it over to gas and a few minutes later its overheated. I'm convinced the vapouriser is dumping gas in the water pipes that warm it up. Saw this at my mates lpg workshop where a vapouriser failed dumped the gas in the coolant and caused a underbonnet fire.
Its 5 years old and has one each side of the engine. More modern vapourisers now can cope with one large one with twin outlets. The pipework is also too long which contributes to air/gas locks so one with short pipes would be ideal. Rang Tinely Tech which is down the road from me and quoted £105 for a new twin vapouriser.
Been running around on liquid gold now for a week with no overpressurising and no over heating.
