Hello everyone ,just wondering if there is anyone out there that maybe able to help me . My ignition has developed a problem as when I turn the key nothing happens , but the battery is fine , the ignition lights all come on as normal , and I can start it by bump starting it , ok if your on a hill !! , this has happened a couple of times before , then it just works fine all by itself ,it has an immobleizer , but i've elliminated this from the problem , i've looked at the wiring and there dosn't seem anything obvious there , but when it works it works fine , then the other day , nothing . I'm thinking along the lines of the ignition switch/key barrel not connecting electrically ???. any advice would be very welcome

Check the ignition feed to the starter. Is it turning to live when the ignition is turned to the start position?

If yes, It may just need a wiggle to sort it out. If that doesn't work then your starter solonoid is goosed. You can confirm this by bridging the main starter feed to the ignition feed. If still nothing happens it is definately the starter at fault.

If no, Then you have need to trace the wire back to find out where the feed has been lost or fit a new feed from the ignition to the starter. Using a small piece of wire to bridge the main live feed to the ignition connection will allow the vehicle to start without bumping.
