Hi guys has anyone experienced this. My disco td5 allows the key to go into the barrell but wont allow it to turn i noticed recently that the key was becoming hard to insert but nothing a bit of vaseline didnt fix.

had a similar prob on my 300tdi till one day the barrel locked solid and i had to break the bugger to get home, sorted it with a new barrel for £34 from my local private landy workshop, seems to be as they wear the springs fail to let the leaf drop into place.

aye and you dont want to use vasaline as all the ****e sticks to it e.g. dust, bits of key
you should use pencil lead rubbed on a bit of sandpaper,or buy grafite paper from a locksmith shop

I have this with one of our keys but the other is fine, the wear looks similar.
I am getting a new blade cut and going to give that a try.
