A bit of a side-issue, but did you ever find a reliable aftermarket MAF sensor, Nodge? I seem to remember you experimenting with them.

I'm currently using a £25 Ebay MAF. It's working fine, but I do have the Synergy to boost its signal.
When spring arrives, I'm going to fit my Pierburg MAF to see if there's a difference.
 
Nobody suggested buying her a tratter :eek: four wheel drive always works, I've never understood why you hippo drivers like two wheel drive so much. It'll depreciate way way slower than any Hippo. There's no electric crap on it. And there's room for a pig in the back :p

At least she wouldn't have to worry about not getting home cos the vcu is knackered and someone might have put a new tyre on the front instead of a pair of them on the rear. And what about if the pond in the rear bursts its banks and floods the front of the car :eek: Oh and then there's the engine oil that like turning into mayonnaise :p

At least in a Freelander the chassis won't have turned to dust under her as she's driving, and as for head gaskets the trattor section has nearly as many threads about them as the Freelander K series. And it's not a problem in the diseasils.

My doors have never fell off in the rain and if you look at the introduce yourself section there's a heck of a lot more Hippo drivers with problems joining than tratterers o_O

Thats cause there were a hell of a lot more Freelanders sold than trattors and they were sold to normal people. Trattors are only bought by welders who mostly know how to fix cars.

Tratter drivers all joined up decades ago and are festering (or is that decomposing?) in a corner somewhere. There's a lot more Freelanders built in the current millennia than Tratters - that's why there's more new people join with them - that and hairdressing is a popular occupation these days. :)

We prefer our hippo's with full time transmission as opposed to part time transmission tratters :p

We also like having heaters anorl. Am not saying there int anything wrong with having condensation running down yer back, but we dun't like it. :eek:

Tratters drivers and technology dun't mix well. Hence not as many on the web.

Freelanders int 2 wheel drive. They is 4 wheel drive. All 4 wheels are driven. The drive to the rear is relaxed to allow the rear diff to sleep until such time as it's needed, then it activates in a split second.
