yupdo u own tirfor by chance trewey
mine wern'ti can get a lecky winch for less than a turfor thems are fookin spensive
i dont really know anyone local to me that is trully experience with off road driving, unless anyone wants to offerCheap steel wheels over alloys, set of remould MT's... should set you back in the order of £300 for 5 tyres - get the steelies off a disco from e-bay, don't pay more than about £30.im currently running 7.50 r16 greenway mud terrains on freestyle land rover alloys.
Steering guard - £36 from Paddocks (but only because they look cool) have to agree with the looks lol, and will invest in heavy duty rods in the end
Snorkel - £65 from paddocks im a cheapskate even when i have money so ill be making my own
Hi-lift or Jack-all and defender pin - £50ish definately, as the standard defender one is shocking.
2 or 3 tonne 5m lifting strop and some rated bow shackles £25ish is that 25 for 2, or just one?
Decent bow saw or an axe (or a chainsaw if yer a girl or don't like keeping fit) will have the certificate for chainsaw soon, and already have the PPE so might as well
Shovel got that
At least 2 x 1.2m lengths of scaff planking to use as traction aids - or spend some of the £600 left on waffles think ill go for woffles as i would trust them more.
All of the rest I'd spend on learning to drive the car properly... Diff guards don't protect the rest of the axle - you run a diff up a big rock and you're likely to bend the axle tube instead of the diff cover and that'll stop you better than a punctured diff... people always drive less carefully when they've 'protected' their motor Likewise with fuel tank guards, you'll have to seriously go some to whack yer tank. better safe then sorry
Seriously... either spend the rest of the cash on diesel and burn it laning or go to a pay and plays. If you can get driver tuition for free, then great, if you're a complete novice and have no-one local to help there are courses, although they tend to be pricey.
Sell it & buy a TD4
Oi that's a nice avatar lets, where'd ya get it?
As little as I'd like to say it I rekon Adz has got the right idea.
On second thoughts, worship anything chromi says as it's bound to be complete genius.
I have no testicles and drive a hairdressers car...
Everyone else seems to be ignoring you chromi... probably because you're largely irrelevent. I think I'll join 'em
