Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get an idle stepper motor for a 98 3.9 Disco
without paying $220? Maaan that's too much for such an item!

Thanks
Pauly

In comparison to many other manufacturers that's pretty cheap.

If you can wait 'til May I might be able to bring a spare with me in my
hand luggage, I had a couple of spare ones kicking about in the shed
somewhere.

It's worth knowing that these are a standard Bosch item which are used
on a wide range of vehicles so a trip to the scrap yard might be worth a
go. I can't find it at the moment but I did have a Bosch part number
somewhere which you can cross reference to find a list of vehicles it
was fitted to.

If you can wait, I'll do you a swap for a second hand Ford EDIS-8 unit -
available in most Ford based V8s (Crown Victoria 4.6 for example) and
unobtanium in the UK but alledgedly easy to get hold of in Australian
scrapyards.

For the EDIS-8, try Ian at Limospares.com

Tell him Pete from Aigburth Limos sent you.
