hi everyone new to this but here goes
I’m now the proud owner of a 2001 discovery 2 and love it I’ve had it around six months now and waited to get it through its first mot with me before touching it.
Great news it only failed on a gatter.
So work begins I’ve done egr valve delete and injection harness so far. And it’s like a different car already. The only 2 issue mechanicly atm is every now and then the when coming of acceleration the idle revs on its own from 750 to 1000 a few times then stops and sorts its self out I’ve cleaned up map sensor. I’ve read it could be idle control valve? Needs cleaning but don’t know we’re this is or if easy to do. Also there a sucking noise when under load ie up hill from glove box area could the too be connected I’ve looked and the pipe from intercooler to turbo, turbo side looks bit worn maybe air leak. I’ll shut up now lol
