Hi gurs and gals.
Got an issue with fl1 td4 hunting when idle, sometimes not that bad then other times quite severe. Other times I'll pull up at traffic lights and it will just cut out if I don't catch it.
So far I've replaced or vac pipe as this was holed, I've blanked off the egr. Cleaned intake manifold. Give it a full service. Not got road to ird trans and diff oil. Run plenty of forte through her. All in all its made it a bit better. Anyone got any ideas? Driving me mad

Do a leak back test, also change the fuel filter and check that the fuel pump is working as it should nice even strong flow, not spluttering flow.

I've done fuel filter with the service and checked the pump whilst there. Sorry shud have mentioned that. I'll do a leak back test as soon as I can, but don't think it's injectors as she drives lovely if not a bit under powered. And there's not really and missing on the injectors. The very rough idle happen this morning again drove it, still idling rough turned it off and straight back on, and she was fine again just the slight hunt

Uneven running at idle is almost always down to an injector issue. First thing to do is a basic spill balance test. All injectors should return a similar volume of spilled fuel.

I'll get one done tomorrow, got work in a bit. I haven't stripped an injector for a while another reason play in the shed. Hopefully I'll have an answer tomorrow

Right guys so. It broke down again today on the way to picking up some injectors lol. Eml on and just kept turning over n not starting. Manage get home. Did multiple leak off test just because I like and average. At 90secs I had readings of 4 4 3.5 and 5. Sorry yeh number not great but not a massive difference. Car was running noting on them tests, just the slight hunt. However on my final test it started to run really lumpy again. However results the same. So unplugged 1 injector at a time all made it worse, number 4 not quite as bad but worse. That got me thinking must be fuel to all injectors. So I unplug rail sensor and nothing changed, plugged back in all the same. Turned it off, u plugged checked plug and terminals found to be a bit green. Cleaned up with some brake cleaner and put some contact grease on. Started it up all good again. Fluke maybe, so going see how it goes now. But think the wiring may be braking down because it's only when hot this is happening. Any advise on where the loom goes, I've seen on some a really short loom to the sensor I think. Or anyone know where I can get the plg and pin kit and I'll wire it up myself
Thanks for the help
