Morning All.
Strange start to the day. One shouting arm waving person of colour at the bus stop (didn't really need the phone he was holding, they can hear him in Africa from here); then 30 yards away from him a derelict hunkered down against a wall also talking loudly into a phone. This isn't like the Benfleet I know at all. Where are all these odd folks coming from, and why are they here? Very odd. Anyway have a lovely day!

There is a Series near me, bloke who owns it is having his house 'buildered', vehicle is in a very sorry state, parked at the kerb, filled with junk ... heartbreaking ...

Look on top ov the relay it may show the pin layout for the contacts and the coil. Normally has the manufacturerer and part number so yer can look up the datasheet.Ta mate, well I got some of that!!
The £200 solution would be cheap, ugly and involve a lot of faffing around , the "next up" solution would cost at least €585.
Compared to the €60 I have just lashed out on tools and capacitors, to be delivered soemtime next week.
I had a heck of a job sourcing the exact same make and model type of one sort of Cap and the other is exactly the same Mfarads and voltage, as well as size and distance between pins. Both off ManoMano. Pack of 10 caps, €1.5. delivery €9.5! Just realised I needed 2 per stat. Poop!
Still I don't think they'll all be gone, once I get my cap meter I'll know which ones go, physically considering the small ones are cylindrical they look OK, but yep that don't mean much.
The stat's PCB is powered up, the temp sender actions the lickle relay on the board which then sends power back to the consumer unit on which each individual circuit breaker is situated to tell it to close and send massive power to each heating pad. They are designed to take a lot of current as many houses don't have this system and all the power passes through the stat.
I could get a 24 VDC psu for about €20, more or less, but for just this one job?
I too have wondered if the problem could be down to dirty points on the relays. As the relay is stuck so closely to the PCB and I cannot tell which connection does what, I'd have a job putting power across the coil or even testing it for resistance.
I'd have to take one off then open it up to look at, which I might do if nec.

Could smell pee out the back ferra few days. Fort nowt ovvit. Then realised it were closerer to me kitchen door. Then fort it could be the pipe me nayber built over. Each day finking some more about it when picking up the smell. Me nayber ain't a tratterer so it won't be im. On friday eye fort to meself that smells like deff. Reminded me ov the smell ov the deaded squirrel and hedge hog eye put in me bin. Then realised kev were in me trap. Got the *******. Emptied him out on the grass. Gone over nite. Set the trap in case there's anuvva.

I won't lie, after watching it, i think i want one too! The problem is, the only 'spare' body i have is a disco. I don't think it would look as good as with a Series body on topGreat vid, nice one pal.

Today's mission has been accomplished. Front passenger side nuts n bolts on the suspension assembly wire brushed, sprayed with penetrating stuff, and caked on brake dust on the wheel rim cleaned off (to a basic standard). Two new front shocks on the way, just in case they are needed. Will be doing the front suspension rebuild mid September as I will be on the sunny isle for a couple of weeks between now and then.
