Well you'd have loved it if it had been "torque -clé " cos that would sound nearer to Torquay.
What is funny is that the word "torque" does look very French as a lot of their words finish in "que" in fact "que" on its own is a word.

I'll have to check the ementenemolgy of "torque". So there you go "The name 'torque' was given by the ancient Romans, who in Latin described these necklaces as twisted and spiral screw-shaped using the word 'torquere', meaning 'twisting' and 'turning'."

Some people call it "turning moment" which is weird in itself, what the heck is "moment" doing in that?
Well here is the answer,
"According to Wiktionary, the words “moment” and “momentum” are doublets or etymological twins, meaning that they are two words in a language with the same etymological root. Both come from the Latin word “movimentum,” meaning to move, set in motion, or change."
So why the flip couldn't they have called it "turning movement" although it should be "turning force" as that is a more accurate description.

Stop snoring back there!! 🤣 🤣

That's either one double or triple yolker and a couple of smaller uns, or one normal one and a couple of apprentice pieces!!

Or one double yolker, one normal and one apprectice piece on closer examination!!
Ours have just got beyond the apprenctice piece stage and we had our first double yolker toher day.
Do you buy new every year or keep the same one, or what?
We buy new every year and give the old'uns to a chap in the village who loves them and keeps them till they diea a natural death!

In the meantime, after fixing it, sort of, with gaffer tape as the parts of the switch are basically falling apart, it is now OK.
But I have been onto Citroen C3 websites both sides of the channel and it appears it is a bit of a common thing.
When I gently pulled on the back end of it I could see all sorts of bits of it coming out, spring, contacts etc. So it is fairly obvious that the plastic that should have held it all together has given way/bruck off/got lost.
As it is a particularly pointless bit of the electronix stuff, namely to warn you if you have been stoopid enough to start it up without the bonnet properly closed and also, and more to the point, it is part of the alarm system so if anyone has your bonnet up trying to knick it, the alarum goes ooff!!

So as getting another one will be a nightmare I am asking the C3 fora if there is any reason why I can't just "jump" the contacts in the nearest connector to simulate it being "on" to shut the system up.

How the flip did we all manage when there was no electrical system to tell us if we had closed the bonnet properly or not?
I do resent being patronised by a car I am driving! ;)

Paint the cover bit in super glue or araldite, it’ll hold it better thru the coming summer days.

We buy them from the old lady up the road, she needs cash and has more eggs than she eats.
No the top is normal size the 2 others are quail egg size? Ish.

But I will say they do provide double Yokes often.

Today i will be fiddling with the Pluriel as, since working on the front bodywork, it now insists the bonnet isn't closed when it is.   Beeps and the message runs across the date and time screen.

i can only just see the electrical wire and some sort of a plug under the catch,

Unplug it, what does it show ?
Bridge the connector, what does it show?
Cos 1 of them will give you the answer.
