JLR has recalled me tratter for an urgent repair. Apparently the front wheels are going to fall off and the suspension will collapse. They want to weld some extra gussets to the axle. (I do know that this has been lurking for a good few years, JLR did this recall in South Africa ten years ago). On the plus side, there'll be a bit more metal underneath to corrode.

Injector pump fitted, pump timing was miles out they obviously didnt time the engine up before removing the pump.
Started after about 5 turns bled straight up which was good.
Runs but didnt want to stop once the key was turned off lol
Bit smoky so its been tweaked now I shall attempt to undo it as I hate the reek coming out them.
Funny that every 200/300tdi ive bought some donkey has messed about with the fuelling.

Serves him/her right imo.
Of course it did!
He was an Italian restaurant manager who earned decent money. Carlo Dall'Occo, What a name! Prolly dead now. He taught me all I knew about the restaurant game. Good bloke in many ways but a typical Italian Stallion of the 70s.
He and I both parked our cars up a side street near the hotel when we were at work , my Mini was fully taxed, his car wasn't! We think it was a house owner nearby who did it. We all laughed like a row of drains when he got done!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

I hate it when you go to work on something and are scuppered at the first hurdle
Need to test the oil pressure switch on my bike.. need a very deep socket and i haven't got one. That's that job finished then :(
You can just never have enough sockets: short, half-deep, deep, etc etc etc.
I've got some I have used precisely once, like one for a diesel injector on an old either Citroen or a Renault I doubt I'll ever need again.

Oh and it has to be automatic so it cuts down what is available too.
Save yer money and use cheap o'tels. Yer gerra propper wash and a bed. They cook for yer anorl. You obviously haven't experienced living in a modern motorhome - very high tech, comfortable living!

Cheapo box spanners sometimes do the trick, I have a set that "nests" one inside the other to act as an extension.

Guid morn
A cracking day ahead. Suns oot, bedding washings oot.
Taking daughter to her u/16 footy at 12:00 playing Drumchapel.
And perhaps gym later.
Enjoy your Saturday all
Just back from daughter's footie match. Her team slaughtered Drumchapel 9-2.
Burger n chips for dinner and then off for my 17:00 to midnight Tesco shift, oh joy !

So I found a mountain bike on my dog walk about 2 months ago, good’en anorl. Anyway, looked at online advice, post on local forums hand in to police etc. so after 2 months, no replies, police not interested, you could get council to collect as a fly tipped item. Anyway, police now say just keep it you’ve done due diligence…
If yer take it to police lost property and nobody claims it they used ter offer it back to the finder.
