All good thanks, first time I've been able to actually push the fireblade.. it's freaking hard work!! I gave up using the clutch for upshifts, preferring to hold on for dear life with both hands, not just one!! At one point I'm sure i saw a bird flying backwards but i was too focused on daring to let go long enough to grab the brake to care what was happening to the space-time continuum 🤯🏍️💨
Do you find that when you come off the track and are riding back through the paddock, that everything seems to be happening in slow motion? I used to experience that, reckon it was adrenalin still surging around me bod.
 
Another day at Dottir Towers, fixing the water pipe I dented with me heavy breaker. Found a bit of copper pipe in me spares pile with almost the right amount of bend on it (adjusted to perfection over me knee). And the same type as is in the ground - nice, thick walled old fashioned made by Yorkshire Imperial - not yer cheap thin can't bend without splitting chinesium pipe. And no leaks :cool:.

'Tis the same as wot Anglian Water did at Wimblowdriver Towers, when the joint at their water meter bursted. Any road up, I got a roll of self amalgamating tape to wrap the compression fittings as corrosion protection, before I fill the hole in with sand n ballast.
 
Had a turbo to intercooler hose in my bay watch list for a while, genuine still in LR packaging, at a seriously low price. Normal price 75 sovs upwards (120+ if you go to LR dealer). Seller sent me an offer - under 25 sovs. As my fender has a habit of eating booster hoses, it was an offer not to be turned down. Bought it. To go on the shelf, along with my growing stock of fender consumables.

Not immediately, but once rode home from oulton park, that felt very slow indeed!!
I only ever went to Oulton once, in the late 60's. Mate's dad used to race a sidecar outfit, powered by a Vincent 1000. He used to take us along to race meetings and we rubbed shoulders with the elite racers of the day. At Oulton we witnessed what is now an iconic moment in Triumph circles, and my club in particular. Agostini being presented with a Triumph Trident by the factory. We were in the paddock and saw the presentation, followed by Ago taking a lap on it with no helmet and just his goggles as protection. I'll see if I can find a pic on the web ----
 
A sqwiggul has just bin sat on me garage roof eating one of me sun flowers. Ah dun't care. Eye ain't going to eat them. They is there for me burds. It has just bin hanging oft me anti sqwiggul burd feeder. 10 minutes before a small burd was inside pulling the wurms oot the centre tube and dropping them inside.

If you have any photos of the Birch brothers, I'd be very grateful!! Allan was my partners dad. They did the TT (came 3rd) in the early 60s but went all over Europe

Don't have any pics of my own, didn't have a camera back then as I was just a kid. Hardly had enough pocket money for 10 fags. Mates dad used to do the TT, and managed a finish more than once. And in the early 70's my mate did the passenger part with his dad, I think by then they were racing a Konig engine. Most of the sidecar racers of which I remember back then, worked at or had connections with BSA, and had access to race parts not available to Joe Public.
 
Just fed the doggies.
Had a funny moment, pulled the ring top can lid open to find.......... the tin contained haricots blancs!!!! From the outside at the wrong angle you couldn't tell. How the tin got in with the dog food....well probably for the same reason. :rolleyes:
Own label dog food, own label haricots blancs.
At least we won't be eating dog food with our dins!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
