I think it is a truism that we all "SEE" only what we expect to "see".
On Saturday afternoon I cut off my beard & moustache and had a double wet shave so my face was as bare as a baby's bum.
I went out into the garden and had a long chat with the missus and she just did not notice the change.
I "sounded" like me, I had the correct silhouette, correct verbal and body mannerisms etc.
The detail was completely overlooked.
She just didn't see the difference, and only with my prompting did she finally fall in and look shocked.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck etc. etc. ;-)

Was offered 2k but too much cost and work to build another, tis mostly scrap bits and bobs and I would have to buy new for another one, may be worth thinking about. Can't find a gearbox to suit though for another

Got our Frog leccy bill, soooooo cheap. € 128 for 2 months and we only use gas to cook on the hob!!
Mind you we have burned a bit o wood.

Today I have been investigating the extent of repairs required to the eaves fascias and soffits at the front of Wimblowdriver Towers. It has been over-clad with upvc stuff, over the original timber work which has some rot in it. Haven't yet uncovered the full extent, but I have learned what a screwdriver sounds like when it disappears down a drain pipe.

Took the old big cat to the vets today, poor chap is suffering with dermatitis around his eyes, the drops the prescribed were the same as Dad had after his cataract surgery ...
