Apparently we have one in our back garden, it's huge, we've been here 20 years and it was massive then. ****ting it now you say it can grow to 100ft, must be 60-70ft already....needs to come down but far too big for me to attempt...
Norway spruce isn't really an ideal tree for small gardens. If you do grow one, it is best to fell at about 30 feet, the timber is quite usable, and replace with another small one.

Had a quote to get the two of them down, both similar height's but look slightly different species of fir....about a grand which i though was reasonable. Mind you that was a couple years back.

Could be different varieties of Norway, or different species, there are dozens of species of spruce and fir that grow in the UK.
If you can post some clear pics of the needles on a branch, I might be able to identify them, but no promises, some of the species are extremely similar. Underside of the needles is often most helpful for identification.

Wait u

Wait until the end of the year and then offer it to the local town council - they cut down, they cart away!:D

Jesus christ the little fella will have to go at the bottom of the garden if he's going to get that big. Eye thought me burds would like him as he offers cover all year round. Eye will chop his top oft before he gets too tall.

How thick is his trunk and how far do the branches stick oot? Just thinking about where to plant mine to give him enough space to grow.
