Eye has bin received an email frompt haxminster about er sale. Eye be eggscited as the sash clamp eye bin finkin of buyin is ont sale. Buy one get one free. Eye be planning ter go before wurk ter gerrum but the reviews are bad. That's ere shame as it made me nervous ter buy. Eye were gonner get 2 and receive 4.

Why dun't yer make yer own?

I have some 6 foot sash cramps from when I built my workshop doors around 14 years ago. They were when Axminster did not sell any rubbish
They are steel but don't have the problems the new ones have!
Making your own is a good idea.

Think eye will have a go. Another toy to add to my list to make.

Eye like axminster. Only bin buying from them for a year. Some of their kit is more eggspensive but it's aimed at the professional or the dedicated diyer. Eye tend to buy on value for money and take into consideration how long it will last and what use eye will get from it. It would be nice to have a full set of their clamps but the reality is they won't get that much use. Even when making my own furniture so they should last for ever. It will be hobby time and something to enjoy. Eggspecially if eye make me own clamps.

On this occasion eye think axminster have had a run of bad luck on certain clamps which they have sold oft cheap. Several reviews this week on their site and the one on the welding forum saying they're not good value. Even on a bog off offer. Several reviewers have returned them. It's a shame as their kit normally gets good reviews.

Eye went ter axminster and bortid er level box. It beer lectronic fing that measures angles. Eye plan ter use it ter set me bench saw blade at 90 degrees. Zero it ont bench then see wot the blade is.

Eye hadder look at the sash clamps anorl. Dun't seem like there be a problem with the 3 eye picked tup. Turned the end fing all the way in and oot. Felt slightly tight at certain places but not difficult ter turn. £23 each. Buy one get one free.

That got me finking ergen aboot going back ferrum. Eye would get 4 fer £46. But they be only 1 meter clamping long. Eye wood probably be betterer oft making me own. Sets of different length woodurn bars and move the heads over as eye need em int different sizes.

You can bolt 2 sash clamps together to extend the length

If you buy pipe clamp ends you can make them whatever length you like. Just add pipe of required length
