Mystery solved but solution unlikely.

We have always wondered why the heated floors in our house don't extend into the downstairs loo.
We thought maybe the buildrs reckoned, "who'd need that", but we were never sure.
Today I checked the floor there with the metal detector.
Hmmm!
There IS a heating element under the floor.
Have to assume some poop-for-brains simply didn't connect it up to the controls or whatever.
Well, mystery since 2008 solved, certainly a "Cold Case"!!!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Still can't turn it on though. :(

That Penguin isn't happy 🤔

Having to completely fence one side of our place off to keep the old doggy in and out of the noo neebs place, I have gaps to fill with chainlink stuff, 50 metres of 1.5 metre "grillage" welded green plastic covered stuff like soooo many peeps use, we already have loads of it.
Has gone up to €124,80
And I need to buy two pronged nails to bang into the trees. Sold by the kilo, with none to hand to weigh, how many do you think there are in a kilo?
Unbelievable what info you can find on the net!!

!!!

The vet rang me up at 8 pm. ( ) to discuss my emails which her receptionist told me they don't read when they are busy!
(May being what it is, full of bank holibobs, when they are there they are busy!)
Still she took heed of what I had said and now the doggy is NOT going to have an op tomoz, I am to finish the 16 days of antibiotics for her and then see how she gets on. We explored possible scenarios but at least she will not be going in with all guns blazing like the High Chaparral!!.
Nice to have this sort of reaction.!

..that I am disappointed that once again HMRC has deducted too much tax from my income this past year.
I have 3 pensions & State pension.
After allowances and xfer of allowance from Wifey I am under the higher tax (40%) bracket.
But HMRC have managed to see to it that I have paid £196.86 too much income tax.
It's not complicated, all of it is schoolboy maths at most.
But there is no easy route to getting your money back it seems.
They ignore letters and they answer the phone with IVR systems and just have you hanging on the line forever (at your expense).
Imagine if they had millions of punters all overcharged £200 P.A. that would certainly pay for a decent Xmas do, wouldn't it? ;)
