Had a go at breaking the concrete around the snapped posts yesdi. Me bosch 2-26 ammer drill has a chisel option but at 2.7 joules it couldn't do it. Next size up is like a professional big drill. They vary from 5 to 20 joules of impact depending on which one yer gets. The even biggerer ones are 50 joules. Eye fink eye is going to get one of thems. Looked at them in bnq. Eye is always cautious of their cheap brand stuff after buying a 9 inch angle grinder about 5 years ago. On/oft button fell oot. Whole fing felt cheap. It was. To be fare it were built ferra price. Yer gets what yer pays for. Took it back and gorra jcb branded one which cost more sovs but betterer buy. The breaker in screwfix aint in stock. Its delivered in 3 days direct from their supplier. That may take longer over crispmus. 230 sovs. Eye went to wix yesdi. No breaker on show but they had 3 oot the back. They gottid one oot. Brown box and no detail so the chap opened the box up. Metal tin with breaker un chisels inside. 163 sovs. Eye it starting to lean towsrds gerrin one today. 2 year warranty and yer can change the bushes innit. 51 reviews seen good at 4.6 oot of 5 average. Only just seen there be a video ovvit so yer can see worrit looks like. Finking the wix one is the betterer option to go for. Need it for me posts and later on if eye gets round to replacing me garage.

I got this one a few years ago. Think its 1500watts and about 19 joules. Made in Japan before all the big named brands started outsourcing to the Chinese takeaway. It is extremely powerful, bought it to knock a chimney down. Makes short work of breaking up lumps of fence post bases and the like, and concrete footpaths. So your wix one should be powerful enough to knock the Empire State Building down.

Well, as I've said before, my almost identical breaker hammered its way through tons of stone before eventually failing. The body was the same as what you're looking at but it was just branded differently. I'm sure there are factories in China bashing them out and then they just get different companies' badges and livery. What went wrong eventually was the hammer mechanism - there's a crank that moves a cylindrical piece of metal up and down to provide the hammer action, and one of the pivot pins severed. There weren't any spares available, so I just bought another one.

You'll certainly get your money's worth if you're intending to knock down the garage and dig up the foundations. It'll probably work out cheaper than hiring one, and once you've got it you can use it whenever you have some spare time. This avoids the frustration of hiring an electric power tool and then it rains all weekend, for example.

Shiply have failed totally, the bidder just did not understand what he was quoting for (despite all the info given) and so walked away. Very frustrating. I can't get it myself, its too big for the Rangie and I cannot lift 256Kg anyway.
Quotes are coming in at £350 to move it 68 miles. :(
