Post Tortoise, You are driving down a country lane and see a fencepost with a tortoise on top!
You know he/she did not get there by themselves, You know he/she does not belong there and now has no idea what to do next having been elevated to a position beyond their ability. You may ask what dumb arse put the tortoise up there in the first place? Sadly the answer is WE did.
Sums up most politicians today.

I've been getting a bit of vibration over the weekend. It reminded me of what it feels like when the propshaft joints are getting loose, so this morning I put some cardboard down on the wet paving stones and slid myself underneath. Sure enough I can feel some movement on the rearmost joint next to the diff and on the gearbox end of the front propshaft. So I've been online shopping and ordered parts. This may also be responsible for the squeaks and rattles I've been hearing over the last couple of days as the body panels move and resonate. That's happened suddenly. Everything was OK at the MOT test a couple of weeks ago.

If the tester put it on the brake rollers and tested the hand brake it will be that .
If that's the case send them the bill for smashing up your transmission, etc etc.
Oh and don't forget to strip and rebuild the handbrake if they did that,...

Another idea - https://www.bizseek.co.uk/cambrian-x-farm-01570-471131

Chris is not a reclamation yard but a Land Rover devotee. He does a lot of customer work and has lots of contacts in the Cardiganshire area of Wales. He lives out in the countryside and has/had his own off road course, he also does a lot of competition things and is well know in the field. Way back he re-chassied my D2 (one of the early ones to be done) and his work was first class.
Worth a phone call to see if he might have any contacts/ ideas etc. Pleasant guy. I know he is a big facebook (?) user too. Google 'im for more info. on him.
Post up his mobile number please

... that I am miffed at Octopus energy.
Rant/ They sent me an email saying they expected to take £249.11 a month from me to pay for Gas & Electric.
I replied with no thanks I don't need a budget account, just bill me monthly on a variable direct debit so I only pay for what I have used each month. "They said Oh, OK, we can do that". Then they billed me £249.11 in Nov (to which I complained and said WTH are you doing, this is a variable debit account? Response "Oh sorry, so it is, we will make sure this doesn't happen again". Here we are in December and they send me a bill notification saying they have taken £249.11 in Dec when in fact I have only used £360.71 of energy in total since 4th November. Repeated e-mail's to them get the same "Sorry for the confusion" responses but no action. They are TBH all talk and no action. I would rather MY money stayed in MY account and not theirs. /rant

I have to cut about 1/8 inch off the width of these rims
Any tips on how to keep it straight?
I have to weld the rims onto small trailer wheels.

Up at midnight still trying to find someone who has LR045271 and LR045272.... all these websites that stock them are drop shipping for britpart and britpart got 0. Any ideas where to find these guys?

Tried eBay, part places, breakers...

If anyone wants to make £ just go make these seat runners! I've got a quote for £670 for both sides, however that's genuine land rover with literally NO ETA on delivery.. :vb-splat:
Do they absolutely have to be LR ones?
Peeps who do stuff for kit cars might well do "universal" ones.
I'll have a dig around that sort of supplier to see what they stock.

I sympathise, We had a similar problem with them. I spoke to a human being and in the end they fixed it so they never take more or less than we want them to and they just email me if they think we need to reorganise payments. I DID get told that there are limits to what I or they can do, due to some "algorhythm" as they were trying to drop my payments in the summer when we wanted them to stay high, so we were banking money for the winter to come.
They may not be perfect but we stay with them as TBH we think they are pretty decent to us.
Hope you sort it!;)
