It's more complex than that cos there is bit of trunking intruding into one corner. And that mothu isn't square or parallel on both sides either. The one end, the same end by chance, isn't quite square. No two angles are the same.
Going from bottom left , clockwise, so starting with the front left WT edge it goes 91.5 degs, then 89.6, 92.4, 270.5, 90 lastly 89.3 .
But as you are aware, the big deal is that I cannot drop one end in first then the other, as I did last time we did it. Cos it's tiled first.
However, I have now finalised the two templates, orignally the old worktop cut in half, which I will use to cut out the two ends and will joint together giving an allowance of 10mm so that once used to mark out the new top it can slide it into place hiding the gap under the tiles on the right hand side.
So next move is to cut the worktop out and put up the battens to hold it, bearing in mind that the end ones will need to be extra thick to account for the fact that they won't have worktop right to the wall. The only slightly visible gap would be the very right hand end of the front edge which will be hard to see under the tiles. It'll be quite tough sliding it in as it will be heavy as heck. I will prolly call on a neighbour. I'll fill it and either paint it or use colour coded silicon sealer as I will be doing in all other gaps such as where the window ledge touched the window, where the tiles touch the worktop etc. That worked very well in the kitchen and must be of very superior manufacture cos it has stayed amazingly clean for years. Mapei, same make as the coloured grout.
