Brakes all bled...I used a pole off the chimney sweeper, pumped the peddle then jammed it against
the peddle & the door striker an opened the nipple. Repeat a few times vented disc conversion now
done. I didnt bother cleaning the discs up. I moved swiftly on to changing the gearbox oil.
Quick way of filling the box...pull the gear lever rubber off & put the fluid doon a pipe connect to a
funnel took about 2 mins. :):)

Morning all :D
A positively tropical 11° here. :)
Chiro's @ 10:15, a shopping day too :(
Herself finally contacted GP's surgery after I sat her down in front of an online 111 screen questionairre.
Upshot? GP will call back by telephone on Weds to "triage" her. Waste of time IMHO, but here we are better than nothing.
Have a great day. :D

And he got away with it :D

I have no right of way to my driveway as there isn't a dropped kerb, pensioners bungalows all the same here as they were built in the forties, the guy parks his car where he likes as he says that I'm breaking the law driving over the kerb. Plenty of room to park and I have never said anything to him except when he parked in front of me as I was getting in the car, he said do you want to get out and I replied yes please, he then started to rant aggressively about the law regarding kerbs. I just stood there amazed and put it down to his having a bad day, ever since then he goes out of his way to make sure I can't get out even if the road is clear either side which it always is at least one side.
Nothing I can do

have you enquired about a dropped kerb ?

Why don't you put yours out now so it is where he wants to be? - problem solved
After you go, he might just come and block you out. If he does then, on your return, either park yours in front of his house or park close behind/in front of him on the roadside so that he is blocked in and if he asks you to move then cheerily agree, go in and forget it until it a time of your convenience to go and move a little. Eventually he will get the message that he is being inconvenienced.

tried this and seems to be working, park across my drive then bring it in around ten or eleven oclock, I park so as I actually take up two spaces which is very inconvenient for others.
Surprisingly it was very quiet the last two nights with a couple of cars missing so obviously parking elsewhere

Too expensive here, I will have to pay for hardcore and tarmac for 33 square metres of driveway plus the dropped kerb, final cost will be 5 or 6k, it's flagged at the moment but they take those up and make a proper driveway from the road to gates

At least it is in their hands now and I agree there is nothing more you can do at this time. Well done for making her see sense.:)

Just spent an afternoon cleaning 30yrs worth of grass cuttings combined with mud off the innards of the lawn mower. Pain in the rear. Don't give a feck about the eeesthetiks, just want the grass cuttings in the wretched thing, when it is being used, to blow through and into the grass box more easily. And to make it easier for those that will stick to the innards to be cleaned off.
The "turbo" blades needed serious work. Just hoping it'll work much better than it did, though to be honest, it always worked quite well.
Also had to glue one bit wot I bruk.
Dunno if it'll stick cos I is a bit daft, I wait until I've got glue on the bits and am holding it in position while looking around thinking, "What can I use to clamp this in place?" Rather than doing a dry run first.:( By the time I've got it clamped it has separated about 3 times.:(
Anyway, we'll see.
If it don't stick I can always fix it another way, wiv screws!;)
Enjoy the evening folks!:):):)

This hevening I noticed some white paint marks sprayed onto the crossover from the highway into Wimblowdriver Towers. Nearby properties have similar marks sprayed. Reckon the cooncil is gonna re-tarmac the crossovers :):):). Which is a big bonus for me, mine is well and truly knackered and probably had zero maintenance in sixty years. Probably being done at the expense of the cowboys who ploughed through the village last year to put superfast broadband cables in all the verges and through all the crossovers.
