Morning all ...

A bit of a shitty night, Dad was taken to hospital at 1am this morning , he'd had a fall about 10 pm and pushed his assist button, they arrived and picked him up off of the floor, but he'd banged his head and got himself into a frazzle, so the ambo came and discovered he was in tachycardia, so blue lighted him off at 1 am ...

Hospital won't let me in yet, so I'll phone for updates later ...

I hope he's ok. Best wishes.
I had to pick my neebs up yesterday he slipped round the back of his house
fell backwards & ended up in the raised flower bed, he was there about 20mins & his
wife seen him out the window an thought he was having a rest then opened the window
to ask what he was doing. Bloody freezing outside too plus he's a big man so there was no
way she could get him up. I ended up replacing a bathroom pull switch for them. :)

It's bloomin' cold today. Just had the boys from Gigaclear arrive to install a new faster broadband line, 400Mb/s for £20/month. This will seem like warp speed compared to BT's broadband 7.3Mb/s download, 1.0Mb/s upload.

400  just checked mines........

Response time (latency)
20 ms

Download speed
70.5 Mbps

Upload speed
17.5 Mbps

That's a good throughput. Here BT latency on 15ms but was fed up with BT's cost-to-service. Between posts the Gigaclear boys knocked on the door, "We're going to have to come back another day, we can't find the connection point in the lane..." Really, in this modern day and age one would have thought they'd know to within a few metres of where they installed the nearest connection point. Got them to call through to Gigaclear Central and get info' from their fat controller. Sorry Guv', we don't know...

Logically, I suggested they use/carry GPS loggers in their vans to accurately pin point their already installed network take-off points...mmm, have I stumbled upon a business idea?

Oh Dips, I am so sorry, only just opened the pooter.
Do hope you get to see him soon and that he is recovering OK.
Big Hugs
Stan.

I wouldnt know if they figures were good or not as its not my bag, I know when something isnt
quite right when the router flashes red lol
For the last few months they have been fitting new tinterweb cables here so I sure they figures will
go up as well as the costs. We pay 35 sovs for the phone & web. (BT) we are in a small village with
no piped gas so still a bit behind the times. o_O

She left him for twenty minutes inna freezing cold thinkin he was havin a rest?!

Today's noos.
Bruv has had his op, they removed the lump on his liver and his gall bladder for good measure, as it was making stones and he has a stoma so, well, you get the picture.
He gave us a "Good Hospital Guide" report on Leeds hosp. Apparently much better than Hull, with "panoramic view of Leeds" etc.
Anyway it "seems" he may not have C in his lungs but he hasn't really made this clear.
He is very upbeat which totally beats the cr@p out of me as I'd be the opposite.
More laters.
Have a nice day!
:):):)

Good noos.
Wifey's credit card co are taking up chasing Oaksh!tfurnitureland re the money owed, but I've already warned them to expect court action if they don't.
So am currently waiting to speak to a yuman being to warn them the official legal email has been sent.
(Their return email said they wouldn't answer emails in under 14 days,)
At least it is a freephone number and the music isn't annoying!;)

Oh and the Frog embassy is open to accept visa applications. Wifey tells me that if you get a long term visa you can visit all the Schengen countries. But if you want to just go on holiday under 90 days to both Spain and France, for instance, you have to make separate applications for each country.
What a feckin mess!
One does wonder if they still want our tourist Euros!

So is this them all singing from the same page:rolleyes:.

So are they different visas? you only need the 90days in France don't you?

Afternoon folks:).

Well that's another good productive day done:). My back is trying to disagree with that but hey ho:). Must try starting work earlier so I can finish early:p
Couldn't find 1 of the many other tape measures I know I have floating around here somewhere:( So went to the little shop up the road for beer and they had tape measures 10m for 2.50 of your English pounds bargain lets see how long it lasts:D.
