I raced Enduro when I was younger, rode an IT 175 Yamaha, good for 70 mph couple of pics from races as follows

Indicated and pulled up. Got out of the car to be greeted by a couple of traffic plods. I welcomed their greeting by replying, "Good evening Orificers, is everything okay...any reason why I've been stopped?" They replied they were "Looking for a car..." I thought this somewhat odd and confirmed, "Well you're not having my car...:rolleyes:" They laughed saying it must be another car they're looking for o_O

I wished them a good weekend and a happy Christmas.

Q? Is this the standard of plodding rozzer intelligence these days...going out onto the public highway to look for a car of no name? It's bloody obvious that one would find a 'car' on the public highway. Or, were they just bored and pulled me over for a bit of seasonal fun...?

Here we have a member of LZ who apparently went out on a lovely date with a nice woman but all he goes on about, beyond her being "fine" is her fecking CAR!:rolleyes:
I hope she doesn't read this. Mind you, it might give her a laugh!;););)

Where in France? If i say 1200 miles round trip at a generous 20mpg from my p38 that's around 60 gallons :eek:


Call it £600 including ferry, fuel, covid tests etc etc



Oops i forgot about international breakdown insurance :rolleyes:

Nope, we is in the UK at the mo, so east Dorset!!!!
I do understand that you'd quite like a lickle holiday/booze cruise though!!!;););)
I have a neighbour who runs a DPD franchise so he may be able to organise pick up and delivery! and he gets very upset if we don't use him for our deliveries, AND he refuses to take any money.

....that I have finally fitted the old Anniversary disco head unit in the Disco 2.
The sound is fantastic, and even the steering wheel controls work. Only thing obvs not working is the Kenwood CD player, but we can live without that. :):):):):)
so very happy with it.:):):):)
(It took a lot of work to make sure all the connections were kosher as none of the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manuals were correct and the one off RAVE I gave up on very early on:rolleyes::rolleyes:)

Stupidly we cannot have a telly in Frogland cos, even though we have no aerial to connect it to, it would still be seen as us being able to watch TV ,in which case we'd have to pay yet €120 a year more, like a TV licence.
so we use a big computer monitor with no tuner. But it don't take one of those old connectors, at least i don't think so and I can't check from here!:(:(:(
