It's been a long year an the 'mixed famli' stuft is wearin. (I has been a good boy, an enuff is enuff, so shoot me). An where were goin might have some proper wevver for a change.

I can only talk to my bruv as if life is normal, we both know what’s happening and neither of us can change that.
Have a laugh and joke now, cos it will be too late later to wish you had:(.

Thanks for this mate.;)
Mine keeps on seeming to be getting better, i.e. operated on then tested then told he is in remission.
Then they find something else so it is tests, and scans and worrying time. Lots of ups, then downs, then ups, then downs.
Must be awful for you being so far away etc. :(

I don't think there's any other way about it. The sadness is held inside for both of you. What good is there in being sad when there is still time to be happy in, plenty of time for sadness later. You both get it, and it might be a strain, but is worth it I think.

All the best.

Nope, I feel a bit like you as we always go away for Crispmus, Cornwall this time.
But we think Crispmus extends a bit before and after that week. hence a few decorations, candles and lights etc. I don't mind as things like Advent calendars, candles you burn a day down each day, cards that arrive and we send, are all fun. And begin long before Crispmus week. Plus we get to drink a bit more!!!
We don't go mad on decorations, just a tiny tree, the wreath thing on the door and a few lights in the living room and on the windows.
But we've been doing this since 1992 or so!! So it is kind of a tradition. I swear you'll enjoy it! And who knows, it might become a tradition for you too.
The kids don't get upset cos we are there for New Year's.
Have fun!:):):):):)
