Went round to the dottirs this morning to do a few maintenance jobs, one of which was to replace a faulty plug socket for her fridge freezer. No power in the wires to the socket, so did a quick recce to figure out where the wires were routed from. Spotted a fused switch near the fridge, flipped the switch to "on", and saw power at the plug socket :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:. She had bumped the switch off with a stack of cook books pushed against it.
 
Afternoon folks:).

Well all guttered out now;) Not really, I just set it up pulled a string and explained how to fit brackets. Then walked ome and did some stuff, then went back and clipped in the guttering:) All good tested with a bucket of wata. Guess who didnt get enough connectors :eek: not me:p.
So back over amorrow to redo the first tile batten line then put tiles back on simple:).

We seemed to have developed more cows inside the elceky fence line out the back, I guess the first 2 & horses were testing it:).

Nearly had to ask what day it was, but fort that was lazy so looked bottom right on the laptop and it said Saturday for you dick:rolleyes:.

Easily done an quite pleasing knowing you don't have to rewire the house to repair it :)
 
Well it has been a while since I worked on the "new" trike.
I have been struggling with a few things and so not doing much on the trike-building front.
Today, after an abortive "car-fixing" session I decided to have a little bit of trike-building R&R.

All I managed to do was tack the front & rear halves of the frame together so that the thing stood up on its own without props and clamps.

I did sit on it (very gingerly as there's only 4 tacks holding the front spar on to the keel). It felt a bit "wrong" so I did a check of the seat-frame to BB-Axle distance on the Tadpole to compare.

Loki (tadpole) has the following distance 33 &1/2" from the back of the seat to the BB-Axle.

This trike has a distance of 31" (measured between the same points), AND the BB is much higher compared to LOKI. Oops!

So I need to resolve this somehow. Move the front spar further forwards along the main keel (increases the wheelbase), OR, cut the existing seat mount off and make a moveable/adjustable one.

Also, the frame looks a bit twisted to me.

It might be angry-grinder skip time and just stick with the 2 trikes I already have and can't ride. :(

I will be honest, I miss/missed the banter from work took a while, So I understand. But the daily dose of LZ helps the banter/pizz take and laughs on the way:).
You will meet peeps who you maybe able to put up with to have a drink/grub for a lunch meet, maybe even @doriz :oops:.
Its quiet a change in lifestyle especially for us youngsters:D, You will be surprised who you will now find:).

Making an adjustable seat mount is probably easier.

But yes sorry from you pic I have to agree looks a bit on the wonk, is it were you have tacked it?

It could be, but both the main keel section and the downward/forward pointing spar were clamped onto the same 6mm steel benchtop for side 1, then flipped over and clamped again with "stand-off" packing pieces to raise the tacks above the surface of the bench for the other side. I suspect the holes where the pivot carrier is bolted on are not "true" and I can file at least one of them out to form a more horizontal "slot" to re-align it, then bolt it up really tight I think (well, its one idea, anyway :rolleyes:).
It's all handmade with raw steel and I'm not NASA; so expecting perfection is probably pushing my luck. :D

In my job I only really had banter with the kids, and that was fraught with .... well you can imagine. My colleagues were all either Spanish or French females, oh and one from South America. All very attractive and still managed to be very feminine with it. So I missed that. But no real male type banter. Get more of that in France than I do over here and Covid seems to have cut down my visits to mates who do banter. I think I will try to revive that a bit!
 
Well after a bit of a trying day, the front hub is swopped and I may have found the issue. No proper test drive yet, just enough to put the ABS light off. But I will be picking up wifey from Ringwood later on so that'll give me a chance to let her out and see if there is any vibration, "her" being the Disco.;)
