...that its only 53 days till Christmas. :D
Best you all start saving up now, I will publish the list of things I want soon.
Oh, and it's my 67th birthday on the 29th of December and I don't want any of that "Here's your Xmas AND birthday present" nonsense happening, OK?
Sorry, both Christmas and your birthday are cancelled this year for some spurious reason the gov made up......

Where can I join?

...I just had a re-assessment at the Back-Crackers. :)
While it is true that "well he would say that wouldn't he" does apply; even I can see/feel that I am making progress.
His observation was that the improvement in just the month is noticeable and exceeds his expectations.
I will be down to twice a week this month I think.

That's great news Dan!

Omg really why would you do that. I have only ever seen one chap mig welding without a mask
I told him he was a idiot & walked away. Not that im insinuating that your were an idiot but errr...
why o why would you do such a thing. :(
Ever watched "American Chopper"? they seem to do it all the time.:D:D:D
If I have a very precise little weld to do (MIG) I may well hold the gun so the arc is shielded from my eye by the tip of the gun, so you could draw an imaginary line from the weld point through the centre of the tip back up to where it angles away from the gun to one eye, with the other shut, obvs, maybe just to start it, then flick the mask down. But as a general rule, can't imagine why anyone would want to risk their eyesight to "arceye".

You know when you hold the torch in 1 hand & piece of metal in the other hand…. Well I did not have 3 hands or an auto mask. ;)

It’s also like seeing someone welding galv without a mask. Some don’t know what gasses are produced from the heat
Did you not have a mask held onto your bonce wiv a strap fing so you could get into position then jerk the mask down over your face with a flick of the neck?

Orl right then, you'll get one or tother but not both!!!!!!!!!
(Eldest daughter suffers with this, hers being about the same time as yours!) Once new a bloke whose Bday was 24th Dec, poor sod!

My SiL has Covid and is double jabbed but is still having a rough time of it. It's still about and I feel it is a matter of when and not if you get it these days!
Sorry about that mate.:(:(:(:(
Was out and about today, for the first time walked into a Landy Spares place with no mask on, just forgot it, and the bloke there didn't have one on either, neither of us batted an eyelid. Chatted about the young bloke who works there, turns out he hasn't had either jab, is on holibobs for a couple of days then going into hostible for an op. The blokey laughed and said "as he ain't been jabbed I bet they tell him to naff off!" (or words to that effect.)
didn't see the irony until I got back to the car and realised I hadn't put the mask on.

Seeing more an more without one on.
Wifey travelling up to Brumagum on the coach. Hope she don't get it.:eek::eek::(:(:( Ever since she drove off the road in France she is scared of driving long distances, otherwise I'd be far happier if she drove herself. I'd have driven her and stayed up there as dottir #2 is a good laugh and I get on well with s-i-l, he is a real petrol head, but they can't take the dogs as they have cats.:(:(:(:(

Great healing news:).
Just restrict the DIY to a paint brush at ground level so you dont mess up all the good work:eek::D:D.

So up early today to take Wifey to Ringwood for the coach.
Feckin roadworks EVERYWHERE!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Road will be closed lots over the next 6 months as they are widening the bridge over the A31 at Ringwood.
But also all sorts of other little roads closed too.:mad::mad:
Went to Terry Johnston's to pick up a coupla stake nuts for when I do the hub(s) to see if I can solve "Thrum thrum".
Weather bright, a little cloudy and "fresh".
Bloke came about 20 mins ago to sort out the front door what we had fitted a coupla years back, he did in seconds and is still in his van parked out front on the communal drive! don't want a cuppa nor nuffin. Just sat there! Think he will be twirly for his next job!

Yessdi dogs nearly ate our legs when it came to about 5:30 as we usually feed them at 6:00.. So we relented.
This morning they had us out of bed an hour early too. Tried explaining about BST but it didn't seem to sink in!;);)
Have a nice day LZers!!!:):):):):)
