Don't worry, the grand kids will soon grow into the sort that sit staring at their phones and grunt at you if you are lucky, then they'll grow into the sort that chat decently with you and thank you for stuff. It's just a stage you have to go through!
4 out of our 6 have gone through this, well nearly and the other two are so well brought up, (half Japanese) that they would never dream of being anything other than polite to Nanny and Grandad, but the others went through all the stages!
All good fun! But yes it is funny for me getting Father's Day cards from step children.;):)

The diagnosis that I am "A klutz with no co-ordination skills or balance" is not unexpected though. ;)
It is a little tiring to see people smirking because you lack the levels of grace & poise that they are demonstrating to you so ably. :oops:
But we rise above all that, they can't build houses or do their own plumbing etc. etc. so we all have our place in life.
My flexibility is improving though :)
