Weather fine down here today.
Wifey very angry then tearful this a.m. Totally fed up with the way we are being stymied at every turn, mostly me, from going to France. Or indeed anywhere. She even looked at going for a holiday in the UK:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
But says all the places are booked up and horrendously expensive.:(:(:(:(:(
Still she has washed her hair and gone off to meet a mate at Haskins.:rolleyes:
I am still trying to download the NHS app which seems to be more or less required if we are ever to travel to France.
Had to go into the surgery twice to get paperwork/computerwork done. Still waiting until they finish their bit. Then MAYBE i might be able to install it on my mobile.
The travel documents we will need reminds me of the sorts of papers you needed to move around in France during the Occupation. Ausweis this, Ausweis that.
Whatever happened to the days, before the EU even, when all you needed to go abroad was a passport and possibly an international driving licence and green card?:mad::mad::mad::mad:
And don't forget you could only take £10 spending money with you. :eek:

I've just had to write an apology email to a large financial corporation after complaining to them for several months that a bank transfer had never arrived in my account.

I've checked and checked my bank statements religiously over the same few months checking to see whether it had arrived or not and as far as I could see, it hadn't, so I was kicking up a stink whenever I called or emailed them.

Anyhoo, I've just checked my statements once again and the transfer did in fact arrive in my account a few weeks after they said they sent it.

Oops :oops::oops:

Shudda gone to specsavers :rolleyes:
