Good Evening All

I trust you've all had a good day. One more miserable day in the warehouse doing order picking for me... I know I wanted a job without any stress or hassle but I do need some mental stimulation and this job offers none at all.

Oh well, at least it's providing some pocket money (basic wage!) until I find sumfin betterer. ;)

Obverously not cracking on.

Yes.. yes... Sorry an all that. :)

Some more brick work & a couple of lintels fitted today was damm chilly till about 12ish.
Some sun shine in the afternoon though.

did LR stuff today.
Am kn@ckered!
Getting on with changing the front feck off big ball joints.
Hub didn't come off as easy as the rears did.
My old slide hammer didn't work as it is for 4 bolt hubs.
Two out of three bolts holding the splash guard came off OK, but the third one wanted to not come off, so i spent ages hunting for a 6 sided 5/16th socket. Found one eventually. Funny, in the last two jobs i have done I needed imperial A/F sockets/spanners.:mad:
Anyway, half shaft is out
Knees aching, back aching. I am too old for this stuff!!:( and i told myself I'd take it easy!
Anyway it was lovely and dry and warm. :):):)
Hope all had a nice day!:):):)

I'm a bit sore but pleased that i made the progress I did.
Didn't start till late morn and finished about 5:30pm
As with so many jobs amateurs do, you learn on the first one, but was really surprised how hard it was to separate the hub after having done both rears so easily. The rest of the job was straight forward though I had to remember to use star bits not Allen keys.
When the hole in the end of the threaded part of the ball joint is rusty and dirty, it is so hard to see into it, especially as it is upside down and only a short distance off the ground!
I think tomorrows work will be much tougher.:(
