So Mrs arrives to pick me up & informs me she has lost her phone. Put it on the rear of the LR & drove off.
She had re traced her drive & nothing.
So sent the phone a text & hour later neighbour rings me back. Someone had found the phone a mile away in the road & found details & returned it to them as the address is on a card. Screen has a break in it.
Fair play they even left the £20 in it.

In a new development SWMBO has declared that the planned re-work & re-roof of the conservatory must now include the deconstruction of the rearward facing wall too and the building of a new wall with a centralised window in it.
We are skirting dangerously close to planning permission and building regs issues if this carries on.
While they don't mind you having a conservatory (even though mine required planning permission back then) they get abit grumpy when you make huge changes to things.
I need to keep it separate from the main house (old french windows must stay), not extending of any heating to the conservatory, it must only have occasional heating (portable plug-in stuff, at best).
Otherwise, the planning and building control w@nkers want to pretend it is a habitable space and have you jump through all sorts of new building code requirements.
For goodness sake, this house was built in 1936, there is very little more I can do to make it more energy efficient.
