Well the shopping arrived this a.m.
I am getting fed up of having to put my feet up, and wifey's black looks.
Have a worrying issue with my feckin pooter. Norton will no longer update as a bug or summat has persuaded it that it is not connected to the internet, altho obvs it is!
Can't even fix it by doing a system restore back to when Noah was alive.
And yes i know he didn't have a pooter.
so spent the rest of the day doin this sort of rubbish interrupted by dunch, or linner. (Gammon, baked beans an cheeps, then raspberries!)
so now bored and even listening to Bojo and his cronies while Wifey sleeps her dunch off.

Well I tried that, and it told me to download some stuff i already had, and then it got stuck and then....
Gave up in disgust.
Will have to see if I can get one of those "chat" things going, though since the the time when some cnut in Norton put me onto a "technician" who took over my pooter and turned out to be a scammer, i am very chary of doing it.
Almost makes me wish i had an Apple.
Or a Pear.
Or anything other than Windows.

The people yer contacted before were not norton. None of them were. Norton don't transfer their own calls to scam sites. Scammers create web sites with similar names so if you miss spell norton you will go to them. They also create pop up adverts for you to click and follow to the scammers web site.Well I tried that, and it told me to download some stuff i already had, and then it got stuck and then....

This is the correct norton:
www.norton.com
Click it and it will transfer yer to the norton country yer in, the uk version of norton. From the menu options select their support category.

Mate, thanks for this useful bit of advice.
I allus used to click on Norton uk and it looks like Norton, wags its tail like Norton, gives me downloads like Norton, etc etc.
I think this bug is very clever as it seems to be able to block all Norton activity, including, as i said Norton updates.
I have selected support, but not gone through absolutely all the options there. the ones i have tried have stalled/come to grief and i think the bug is doing this.
It's as clever as Covid.
If it clarifies things, the bug seemed to come in with "pointcaptchaspot.com" which I inadvertently hit when trying to pay for summat and the usual "captcha" thingy came up.
I will persevere!
