i better get my coat now and hurry out the door before i get a kicking :p:D

good review on the D4 and land cruiser , i thought the land cruiser would have been the out right winner
Any tratterers causing trouble in ere will have their rust bucket towed down the scrap yard to fund the tea making ingredients.

I was eggspecting the D4 to lose due to price. They normally give points for different categories with the D4 dropping points due to a higher purchase price. It was matched oft road so the only thing which made it win was the on road comfort. Which just goes to show how close the enemy is.

is the picture below a tratterer , lol

better watch out for objects now being thrown in my direction ,

as we all know different models of land rovers all come with there different problems , yet we still remain loyal owners of the badge

each with their own strengths and weaknesses

agree there have been other manufacturers snapping at the heels of land rover , yet can't always match the off and on road capabilities

as the example of the land cruiser

just look at skoda and how they have come on leaps and bounds

the fender is though land rovers icon , i just hope that when the new model is launched they dont go down the same design as the new D5 , updated yes, but the fender has to be one of the most reconised iconic 4x4 in the world,

they've got to get it right

They'll get it right. The press have been talking about the replacement since 1992 so they're has enough time. Problem is the world has moved on. The japs caught up in the 80's and land rover had to improve. Build quality being one problem. No longer was it acceptable for panel joints not to be parallel. Yer has to admit toymota have done well over the years. The modern day buyer including tratterers want more modern vehicles. It had to happen one day.

understand traditional models so to speak require updating

alas can't hold on to previous designs , yet if u look at something like the mini, has just got a modern twist to it, yet kept some of the orginal features in there

catering to young and old, hopefully land rover will get it right with the new fender

the japs did indeed revolutionise the motor industry back in the 80s, but they didn't have much competition with the likes of british leyland, vauxhall etc and created a transformation , in cheap , reliable , better built vehicles

would i dare say that

scargil would turn in his grave , perish the thought

seeing there was never a friday car being produced

oh hang on wasn't that a tratterer :rolleyes:

I parked ma hippo on the side of the road int countryside recently and a duck appeared at me window. It was quacking at me. I had been sat there having a rest from driving. I put down the window and it was still stood there quacking at me. The quacking went on for about 2 minutes, when to my surprise, 5 little baby ducks walked out from under ma hippo. They walked past the quacking duck and it followed them down the road. I watched them for a while until the disappeared. Short distance down the road was a small ford. The ducks were there. Looks like they were learning to swim on the edge. Didn't want to disturb them so I reversed back and went the other way.

I parked ma hippo on the side of the road today in the countryside. This time a phesent was looking at me. It kept walking round ma hippo, up the bank on the passenger side, then stopped to look at me, then continued to do another lap of ma hippo. I remembered to take a pic this time. I've called him fez.

It's strange whenever you come across a car builder who was part of the strikes... they always refer to them being the good ole days.
