I think this situation is a perfect example that the younger generation are simply unable to comprehend the situation of a pandemic. Stick to your guns, it is time they began to think and solve difficulties for themselves, it is only by doing this that they are going to learn.
Years ago we had war correspondents sending us gruesome pics and details of a punch-up in a far away land, but we empathised because we saw how it was affecting them ...
This pandemic seem to be lacking in the visual things that make humans stop, look and become aware of what is happening ...
Maybe it's the hospital management, maybe it's the Gov. restrictions ...
Just my opinion on it tho ...

I have had friends just return from abroad & not stop at home for 10days. Just had a rant
Told them to respect the others/oldies who made sure they had a negative result so they could fly & enjoy themselves.

I agree with your thoughts on this. Without the shock value, the modern person cannot relate. I also think that many people do not believe their (or any) government and therefore think it is some kind of miss direction.
My own brother is one of these (and he is over 60!) and drove across three tier levels on Christmas day to see his grandchildren. I was content with a Zoom meeting!

Whilst I do agree with you, it has to be said that there has been quite a few examples on TV of people who have survived, but only just, trying to pass on their experiences and the lasting effects it is having not just on them but on the families.
Yes, the war happenings did go on for a lot longer giving more time for the 'penny' to drop on those at home but time in this pandemic does not seem to be on our side, the effects are here, now, and real, people do have to understand it is time to listen to the voices of experience, or accept that learning by experience will be a very, very distressing and long-lasting consequence.

Youf's of today calculate risk in a different way. If yer get ill then go to hospital. There doesn't seem to be the 'save now, to spend later' planning in their idea's. They don't look at the walrus problem as a problem. To them its something they need to circumvent to continue as normal. Fuk the feds... and gov... is a fun way to dismiss real life so it doesn't impact on them. They don't see the threat of passing it on to their relatives as an issue. Too much fake news out there which some assimilate with to convince themself's they is right to continue as they wish.

I have not personally watched anyone relating their experience as I really haven't kept up with things. The whole pandemic has not had much of a detrimental effect on me. I have saved lots of money by not going out or driving to work. It does help having the backing of a great woman! I am keeping away from those who think it is a nothing event and staying positive for the future

After driving 40 miles to collect me diafram washer and then fitting it the inlet mechanism is still leaking very slightly and given the pressure of the water it's making a hissing noise inside the cistern. Whatever is causing the leak is very small as the water is coming out the form of a fine mist. I think there's more wrong with this than just a knackered rubber washer.
I might have to call a plumbder because if I start messing any more I'm bound to make it worse.
