I was hoping for the same but, after a very, very light mizzle earlier on, it is now sunny.

Wicks wood is marginally better than t'others, if you select it carefully. Travis Perkins for better timber, they own wicks, I think they keep the best wood for themselves. But it costs a bit more.

It’s pretty much the same as b+q,
For timber to have any chance of remaining straight it needs storing correctly, that means led flat and properly supported. Almost all of the diy chains stand there timber on end in upright racking because it takes up less floor space.

If yer a DIY'er strolling into a lumberyard can be imposing wit all the hairy arsed wood bashers. Then you don't know what yer want, orften yer nearly gets run over by a loader and yer cannot browse. Once uve chosen the wrong lumber an urchin will prolly cut ont mill. Then you'll be faced wit an invoice that'll make yer eyes water before they add VAT.

B&Q et al are there for those that need a simple odd bit of PSE or rough and can see a price they are happy ter pay.

That be very true. They be imposin terra lil ippo. Eye know of one but it be ask for int advance un collect when told cos of the wulrus. So ah wunt no if it be bent or damaged when eye gerrit.

Been busy this week. Pulled off the motorway for a bit of pleasant driving to find the road closed due to a fire. Lucky I found a quick parking space.

No,most are closed at the moment.
I do have a few I stop at but it’s only so I can ring the customer before going.
Can’t wait for life to get back to some normality.

Lorry parks are a lot quieter with out the flip flops cooking tea all night.

The frame eye as made so far as dryd. It needs sum more paynt ont end bits but assit just sinks int eye will unda coat it fust. Price of flower buds beer bowt the same as me planks. Buds be 18mm fick un me planks be 22mm so they nerly as strong. Eye will afta go ter local wiks un take ome worreye get then goes ter next local wiks fer the rest then ome then tayk back the bnq stuff. The planks eye as currup un done tng is cupped so be be no gud. If eye mess wivvit it cud go wong so it int wurg the assul.
