Coop had a reasonable stock this morning. Arrangements made for a mix of fresh meat and ready-made meals to be supplied twice weekly to my mum by the local butcher. Local hotels giving soup daily to the elderly. The joys of rural life!

Good morning everyone an especially Mums everywhere.
Seems this virus is showing peeps true characters, on the one hand there are volunteers delivering food and medicine to the vulnerable. On the other there are scumbags nicking bread from pensioners shopping baskets, or lifting items from the Food Charity collection points in shops. There's been a run on freezers ffs.
Some years ago I read that we're two missed meals away from anarchy..

I had had enough of that lying in bed malarkey so I got up.
Lovely looking day out there, although a bit cold.
Coffee only till brunchtime.
We are on a war footing and rationing is in place due to the lack of provender.

Sun shining & dry. Just made a phone cal(well wake up cal) to my mom. Done the polite thing of letting it ring at least 5 times before hanging up. I texted my brother to ring mom which he does & gets the blame for waking them up.

The trouble around here is MacDonalds delivers breakfast and all the pizza places etc deliver to. No shortage of food and someone else cooks it
They do no contact delivery and they are wearing gloves and a mask anyway!

Nope, I agree. If you read between the lines you will detect that IF you are 60 or over and get the virus you may not get allocated a ventilator (if you are struggling to breathe) and these will be prioritised towards the age range that will generating more tax revenues after it is all over. All the 60+ lot will get is palliative care.

There's too much emphasis ont cummins. As Mogg ses: Advisors advise. MP's deside. Cummins is too easy a target for media attention. Anyone can make up a story or tell it from an angle to gain drama.
Take the borris virus daily announcements. Media saying his persona has changed. He must be bricking it. Really? Do we eggspect him to stand there with health o'fishals and crack jokes or be somber while tellin peeps about what they need ter do on a do it or die baysis? Does we fink he rap the announcmint intstead?
Theres a lot of talk about cut backs. Number of beds etc. When our costly pfi hospital was built it replaced one which had more beds. About 15 years ago. We was told more procedures can be done without the need for a bed or to stay overnight. More would be done at local doctors. So we now have less beds.
Now that they have contacted in beds and support from private health care the media can bang on about sellin oft the nhs due to shortages. When int reality we us fightin ww3.
The simple fact is nhs peeps have to make decisions daily on death and care. They are always under pressure as the sick only have a short time till they die unless they can take action to help them. So the pressure is always continuous.
