Not a stolen report, just a thought.

How many of the people who have had Landy's stolen had recently bought any Landy related parts off Ebay or the like?

I wonder if there could be any connection - maybe worth a poll?

No,

i think what he meant is someone selling landy parts on ebay, so they can get addresses of landy owners and then go over and nick it....

i doubt, seems too much hassle when they can just drive around or follow one

so your suggesting people have there landys stolen and then buy stolen parts of ebay

talk about a kick in the bollicks

It sounds more like you buy some parts off someone off ebay before your landy is stolen. That way the seller gets your address etc... then they come round to your place and nicks your landy complete with the parts they sold you

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of people buying stuff from ANY mail order suppliers, but certain online auction sites were the more obvious choice. Then soon afterwards their Landy goes walk-about. It would be a mammoth task to try to compile any links, but if people were to mention this to police then a link might eventually be established, assuming that is, if someone was at the capers in this way. Stranger things have happened, I once went out on a date with a fashion model, 'tis true.

:hysterically_laughi I thought I was at a plod convention a few months ago. I had stopped at my favourite road-side snack bar in a Perthshire industrial eatate and it was mobbed by them, it looked like a huge bust and took the poor lass ages to serve them all.
