In my opinion this is one of the best Green Lanes left in the country because of its mix of terrain, difficulty and length.

I’ll skip over the bit where I had to get my brother to drive up a section I couldn't!

On this trip it had tipped it down the night before and for some reason the stone step at the start was a lot easier than usual but the rest was trickier. All the more challenging on this day because we had to coax up a shiny and bog standard Discovery 2.

I had planned to do this last Sunday but every one and their vehicles were all at bit bruised and battered from 12hrs laning on the Sat gutted we missed it now, at least its an excuse to go back

I'd love to do this lane within the next few months! Is there a good amount of lanes in the area to warrant a run from Somerset?

Should have a few over the Winter! I take it from that reply there is a lot about :)

Lets put it this way, one of my mates has a holiday home in Machynellth and when we went down for the weekend we managed one of the most full on, longest and best days laning I have ever done. Even then we only managed a quarter of the lanes I had plotted and I had only planned a couple of circular routes from his place. There are plenty more there that I hadn't even looked at.

ps Strata Florida in the dark was insanely brilliant.

hey ellebarto next time you,ve got some time free i,ve got a lane i know off that runs in a big 30 mile circle never manage'd to complete it, but its definately a lane for ardent of us makes strata and bastards look tame, ive never even heard a tractor or bike completeing give me a pm if you want to set something up
