A weird thing happened today, I ran out of petrol:frusty: . Now wouldn't be-out of the ordinary but it happened while it was running on gas. How it happened was that I stopped at some lights then when I went to pull off I had Know power. It wasn't low on gas and the gas in-use light was on. Also when it gets low on gas I can tell plus the lights go on red. Has this happened to anybody else with gas on there car?

If you were running on gas and went to pull away and it had already started on petrol, then when you pulled away from the lights whislt still on gas surely, do you mean it stalled whilst on gas, and you subsequently found you had run out of petrol and it wouldnt restart as it needs petrol to restart?

My gas powered evo sometimes stalled on gas when it was cold and had not been running for long, then it stalled as the valve seats had burnt out.

No it didn't stall, I went to pull off and I had no power. The engine wasn't cold either. Unless Ive got my system wrong and it does use a little petrol. But I was under the impression that they use gas only.

If as you say you were running on gas when the engine faltered, what's that got to do with petrol:confused: Did you switch over to petrol to re-start the engine?? when did you last fill up with petrol???
It all seems a bit strange to me. :bump2:

I can't work it out either, when I went topull off and it had no power as if it was low on gas so then I fliped over to petrol and was the same. Now I was trying to start it and it ran for a second but didn't kick back into gas. Ive posted somthing on the lpg forum I'll see what they come up with too.

I have had similar symptoms when my gas vapouriser freezes up before the circulating hot water has had time to warm it up. I'm running on gas and it conks out when pulling away. Then it won't start on petrol for some reason, probaly down to the electronics. If I wait 5 minutes it starts on petrol again, and I can usually switch to gas again because the vapouriser has defrosted again. Very embarassing in the wrong place, so I usually run on petrol for a few mins to get the system warm.

Found the problem, its either a relay or a fuse gone. Even though it clicks its not actually kicking in but still shows that it has (F***ing thing). Now for the chore of tracing all the wire's, something to do on christmas day though.
