I did mine a while back after it dropped onto concrete from my lap as I got out of my Defender.
I get the screen from mendmyi - was about £40
It's also worth getting these sticky bits too - makes life easier:

If you are happy with fixing small electronics, it shouldn't be a problem, but do follow the videos available on YouTube as the sequence of taking apart is important.
Mine has worked perfectly since.

Local shop to me does it for £40 all in, might be worth looking to see if anyone local to you can do it all in one, covers your arse a bit more that way...

if yu do it, make sure t has the speaker gauze, as otherwise some peeps wont accept them if yu ever want to sell it.

No it doesnt
. But saying that, i have had varying degrees of success. Look in the little slot at the top of the I-Phone, by the front camera. there is a gauze across the hole. replacement screens invariably dont have that. If yu every want to trade yo i-p in, dealers look at that to see if it is a genuine screen or not.Now I see , ukmgranger suggested 'mendmyi' they are doing screen + digitiser for £30 + 49p for sticky pad to stick it to mother board (I think) . Don't mind doing it myself but if a shop did it for £40 with some guarantee then I would just hand it over ....

I can confirm that the screen that I got had the gauze. It isn't a difficult job IF you are used to small electronics. My screen also came with all the tools necessary to perform the task. It probably took my about 1hr30 to complete it.
