I may have to get a divorce.

My wife has decided shes buying a Jeep Compass. Landies/Rangies are just too expensive. £10k more than a Jeep.

But is this sufficient grounds for divorce?

I'm afraid not. She does give me cart blanche to spend what I want on it, as long as I can cover my share of bills/expenses.

Not holding the spanners in the pizzing rain is grounds for me ta!!!

But I'll say this, one more salad for dinner this week and she's out

I have done. She is determined. I've told her to get a Tucson if she needs to get something.
Good luck them. Here in northern Michigan where lots of salt is used they are rust buckets after a few years. bottoms of doors and the rear quarters behind the plastic body trim is where the rust is, also those v6 engines are short lived

We dont have the V6. Only a 1.4 petrol, a 1.6 diesel and a 2.0 diesel.

Any interest I ever had in Jeeps evaporated when they stopped making the Wagoneer/Cherokee Chief range & then, the final insult, they stopped using proper engines ie V8's/straight 6's & began fitting VW diesels
Today's models are nothing more than Fiats on steroids.
But they are cheap, but maybe for a reason?

Just been for a test drive in a Compass. By gods those front seats are ****ing narrow. Even my skinny ass felt uncomfortable. My wifes pregnant ass couldnt go anywhere near them. Surely no fat assed Yank can sit in them. So the wife now wants another Tucson.

I’d try putting her over your knee. This kind of thing needs to be quickly nipped in the bud. You can’t blame her as her simple mind won’t be able to grasp anything more complicated than a Womans Own but a simple chastising should educate her.
She obviously needs a second job to raise the ten grand but they wanted to go to work in the first place so it’s all her own fault.

To be honest I wouldnt let her waste her money on a new Landy. I don't think they're worth it. Problem is that until they reach 100k they hold they're value, and even though I've told her 100k is nothing, she won't spend any money on anything over 70k.

Right. You’ll have to take a stick to her.
