•23 NYPD police officers
•37 Port Authority police officers
•1,402 people in Tower 1
•614 people in Tower 2
•658 people at one company, Cantor Fitzgerald
•1,762 New York residents
•674 New Jersey residents
•1 FDNY firefighter killed by a man jumping off the top floors of the Twin Towers

The difference is that 9/11 happened in our lifetime, so the least we can do is to show some respect for those who died, or suffered a loss on that day..

And for the deaths of many British servicemen and women, who have lost their lives since through indirect links to that day.

M8 of mine had his leg blown off last month in Afghanistan, yea it get real now for me, before it was just names, the sad thing about it is, he don't agree with all the **** that happens either, but he has no choice..... its his job you see, he has to do it
