A whole month running a P38 without an issue......?

No, almost made it but today my window regulator broke.
It jammed half way, so I pressed to open fully, then it did not come up.

Taking the card off the door I see the aluminium bar (from the scissor mechanism) had simply snapped where it loops around the pivot on the crescent moon gear.

Wonder how it just snapped............ Odd.

Looks like I had better order one.

Managed to pull the glass up for now.
 
I had the same thing mate. Easy enough to replace defiantly buy a new one or if you go second hand make sure it has all it's teeth.

Putting the new one in, well trying to.

Is there a knack to fitting them?

Blue clips into window runners first?
Blue clips to new regulator first then try and get them into the window runners?
Rivet first?
Glass out?

Seems very awkward.

Done it, easier when you are not racing against time and weather.

I used rivets as that is what I had to hand.

All seems well and just in time for a serious downpour. Just need to re-install the lining, electrics and door card. :)
