I have a TD engine...

Had my td for nearly a year now and to be honest other than the odd starting glitch no worries. Always starts and i have done some long runs. If i dont get a 200tdi cheap soon i will be driving to cumbria in august in it for a holiday.

Got a TD in my 90, 170,000 on the clock and it starts on the button... no excess cranking, its alive as soon as you turn the key. She will happily do 65 down the motor way... 70 going down hill with the wind behind her! I haven't had the 90 for long... so may not have encountered what she has to offer yet with regards to problems!

i have a 110 with the td engine and has been brilliant, its covered 105 k from new and has been owned by council from new untill 2010 so i guess it has been serviced properly. after saying that i have just removed it last week to fit a 300 tdi with 100k on out of disco. so it is now sat in my garage as most others are

power and economy

out of interest how much better is the economy ?

Mine is booked in later in may for the conversion. Got donor 200tdi with recon engine. Still in the discovery. Having gearbox too but with conversion. Costing lots but will be using landrover pipes, no cobbling together.
