Hi can anyone help my Freelander developed a sort of squishing noise a bit like a fan spinning my local service station are completely baffled also performance has deteriorated and occasionally the limp mode goes into limp mode thAnk you

Have a look at the turbo hoses for splits, get some one to rev it up as you look in the engine bay the splits make a whooshing noise.
for more help try asking in the freelander section they will know more.
