Hello all.
New to the site but had a couple of Landrovers over the years but as company vehicles.
This is my first owned one so I can play with it.
I have a freelander 1, 2003 1.8 petrol.
I ended up with it when I sold my Audi allroad and took it in part ex but I like it so it stays.
So far I have replaced the exhaust manifold with a stainless decat version and replaced the front flexible pipe, installed a K&N panel filter, bought a 2 inch lift kit and ordered a set of 50 mm wheel spacers,
I've managed to get a hold of the back roof bar kit from a local breaker and also picked up a set of alloys going cheap that I plan to install some 225 80 16 to as long as nobody tells me they won't fit.
Loads of people have Discovery's round here (where i live) and I'm not a Defender fan so the Freelander was an obvious yes when offered it.
Anyway hope to speak with some of you soon.
Now bring on the hippo, Hardresser, pretend landrover, crap petrol engine jokes from the Defender and Discovery guys?:lalala:

Hi And welcome to loonyzone.

Have you found the emergency kit yet ?

If not, look under the passenger seat, lift the carpet, then you will see a blanking plate, remove the blanking plate and you will find (if it hasn't been used already) the emergency hair brush and scissors.

Sounds like you're going to get on well here.

I must say that from what I've seen, with a little mods Freelanders are actually quite capable off roaders.

Enjoy it.
