ABS LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The front right bearing, cv joint and hub end was replaced, and the back right bearing and hub stud was replaced. Now my ABS light is on. I took it to the Landrover specialist" and they put the computer on it and it came up with "AIR GAP TO LARGE". They reset it, and told me to drive around for a while to see what happens, as thery could have been old codes.

As i get down the road, I applied my brakes and a noise came from the under the brake pedal, and also a light shudder in the pedal. The light came back on, has been on ever since, but with the light on, the brakes seem to work ok, and there is no shudder or noise.

On a previous thread, it was quoted to "Tap them with a blunt instrument as they could just be out of place".
I need to know if this is a possibility that is what is wrong with mine, and if it is, How do I get to them?

Thanks
(As you can tell I am a newbie to fixing my landrover discovery)

The light is on because the air gap is too large and the shudder you felt was the ABS activating because it thought the wheel was locking up and thus engaging ABS, then it realised the error of it's ways and bypassed the ABS - light on no judder.
I read previously that you tap them in, then turn the wheel lock to lock a few times which will push them back the required distance, can't remember where I read this though! :/

well my abs was working fine for a whole year while the light was on. turns out the prob was dodgy front whel bearing which affected the air gap.

My simplest fix for abs sensors/light is: remove wheel, pull out sensor carefully clean it/wipe it off, push it right back in. do front and rear wheels. turn lock to lock as l3on says then drive about to test it. just dont damage the sensor as they cost a small fortune to replace
