Well.. I just can't look at it anymore!!!!

The disco! It has been parked on my drive for god knows how long.. I think last time I took it out was february…since then I've welded everything there was to weld, inner archs, sills, rear cross member, patch on chassi, rear passenger floor…god knows how much welding I've done on it…

Sorted the reverse lights, cleaned all the mud on the top of the gearbox…… but now that im on the last little jobs, its taking ages..
New headlamps, put centre console back in place, refit loads of bits…just little annoying things!!

I just can't look at it anymore.. I want to get rid of it before I go on hols at the end of July, but need to get it through the MOT before, as it will not be worth much without 12 months ticket on it….

My drive is still covered in mud since the winter, the Orange 90 is parked in front of the disco and havent done anything on the 90 either!!!
before winter I want to steam clean underneath, paint the chassi, do a full service, connect the snorkel properly….. loads of bits!!!

I just don’t seem to have time for all of it!!! and sometimes not even the will to do it!!

arrggghh!!!!!!
rant over
thanks
:)

Dont have a clue mate... once it gets the 12 ticket on, its going on ebay starting at 1k

besides all the extras like bucket seats, harness, snorkel, full breathing kit, rock/tree sliders, HD front bumper, teflon coated sweivel balls, suspension lift, disloc cones front and back, diff guards, steering guard, spot lights, etc... it also goes with 4 complete spare doors in the same colour and a spare transfer box!

Full service including cambelt and all the bits was only done about 1k miles ago... probably not even that!

this has been the sight outside my house since god knows when!!!!

now you can understand why i can't look at it anymore... plus everytime I get my bikes out I have to squeeze a 1000cc bike between the disco and the garage wall!

Looks like you have a good bit of grass there... why aren't you taking advantage of that? You could get 3 or 4 landies on there easily before anyone would say anything :)

When you get it up on eBay post a link...

the grass is shared with my next door neighbour, he takes care of it as i hate gardening, so i really dont want to be unpolite, he's a cool bloke

if he wasnt, then I would definately be parking the landys there

Heh .. s'how I feel at the mo'.

Couldn't do anything to the Disco for a few weeks and now I just don't want to know.

Can't understand it, think I'm cracking up!

Like now, sat inside, lovely day, played on the Xbox and PertyPoker and done ****all this morning, or yesterday or the day before, or the day before that etc etc etc .... and so much I need to do .. mentally nackered I think .. We're away in the caravan this weekend, just me & the missus without the ids, hopefully that'll sort me out a bit.

Mind, I like yours, JP, if I had some spare I'd be tempted ....

When I bought the 90 in Jan i thought to myself..... 1 month, 2 months max and I'll have the disco welded and with a fresh MOT....yeh right!!!

its July tomorrow and its still parked in the same place..mind you, I have done a load of welding on it!!

Whoever gets it won't need to worry for a few years...hehehe

but I think during July I'll finish the last bits...for fuk sake, I only have to fit the headlamps and indicators in place, battery and the plastic trim over the rear cross member!
it has to be gone before the 30th of July!

Paul, I think the xbox is the problem here! I have the same..sit down thinking, ok just a couple of games on COD and then i'm outside..yeh right! lol

it's alive!!!!!

what a beauty...
yesterday I finally put everything back together, except new indicators, that's still to fit...

charged the battery, fitted it back in... first turn of the key and the Disco was back to life.... even took it for a spin around the block! :D

should go for MOT this week and straight on ebay!

about time ya slacker
sure someone will swap you a carton of fags for it once you got a ticket on it :D

Nice one mate.

Mine runs fine .. just need the sills welding finished really ... and front wheel bearings checking, and rear offside caliper seals re-doing before MOT time in August.

Na, cant be arsed to chop it in bits, I want it all gone in one go.

there will be someone out there looking for something like this.... (hopefully!) lol

Put a few pics up on here first .. got a mate who's interested .. and an idea of what you want for it.

I won't sell as it is….after spending ages welding everything I'll only sell with 12month MOT as I know it wont fetch much money with no MOT.

Don’t have a clue how much to ask, that's why its going on ebay with 1k start… hope to get between 1500 and 2000

Here's some pics….

Bucket seats

Front and rear dislocation cones
Heavy duty Steering guard
Front QT diff guard (slider type, not cheap wrap around)

Stuff done less than 500 miles ago:

New front and rear wheel bearings on the left side. ( 2 kits supplied for the other side, but they are fine, won't need doing)
Cambelt and all pulleys replaced (not just the cambelt!! even changed the crank shaft pulley!)
New fuel filter
New lift pump
New turbo and intercooler hard rubber hoses
New air filter

Spare parts that I've collected and are going with the sale:

4 complete doors in the same colour, complete means with everything, winges, windows, working regulators, locks, the lot!

And with all the work done and a 12 month ticket you should have no problems getting the price your asking

Your 90 is cool aswell
