I can't get in or out!

Right, I've bought a Disco 1 and I can't open the drivers door. I could yesterday and now I can't. The key locks and unlocks the central locking on all the other doors. (It's a 5 door). I can't tell what's going on with the driver's door as the little button at the back of the door that shows if it's locked or not is missing.

Neither the inside or outside handles will open it.

Am I going to have to to destroy my door to get it open?

You can get in through the other doors though right?

If so Im sure you could get to the mechanism inside by gently "persuading" the door card and then pop it from the inside.

I didn't think I'd be able to get the door card off with the door closed but I did. (I had visions of angle grinding from outside followed by tons of fibreglass).

Once I was in I did a lot of wiggling and the door opened. Turns out it was a semi seized lever on the back of the outside handle holding everything up. All sorted now as well as doing the "5p" trick on the passengers door so that can be opened from outside.
